Here's the thing: it's not your fault.

The modern world has hijacked your brain and your biology to keep you in a permanent state of reactivity, and almost everyone is stuck in it.

In a reactive state, you have sustained levels of adrenaline and cortisol. You're stuck in fight-or-flight. You react to external stimuli on autopilot, and you never actually take control over your own outputs.

It only feels like you're in control. You picked up the food. You opened the app. You said those words to that girl.

But those things happen before the true you (your conscious mind) even has a say.

When you're like this, your brain waves sit in a frequency called beta: high stress, overthinking, overly analytical.

Your attention is projected outward, and where attention goes, energy flows. So you're just spewing your energy everywhere (pause).

And the world is constantly exploiting you for it.

Most of the media on TV and online. Most politicians trying to sway your vote. Most businesses trying to take your money.

They need you reactive, because if they control the external stimulus, they control you.

Harsh truth incoming...

Almost all of your suffering is internal

I know, some smartass is going to say "What about the country getting bombed?"

Sure, there are caveats. But the majority of human suffering, and the majority of yoursuffering, is internal. You're sitting in a nice, probably air-conditioned room, with a device and an internet connection.

And studies already prove your body reacts to imagined experiences just like real ones.

Ever think a dirty thought and feel your body respond? Nothing was happening. Your body didn't care, it went boioioing.

There's a study where one group practiced free throws on the court, and another group just imagined practicing. Both improved about the same amount.

So when you're hyperreactive, it's not just pulling external reactions out of you, it's running internal, subconscious responses too. Programming your mind over time. Negative emotions, negative outlooks, which then drive your actions.

And your life is just a series of actions, which is a series of decisions, all influenced by these negative forces running inside you.

These loops can literally make you sick. Your body can't tell what's imagined and what's real, so your nervous and immune systems react. Plenty of people have stayed in sick states because of it, and undone illnesses through internal change.

So if you want out of this survival state (the one causing most of your suffering and stopping most people from ever hitting their potential) you need one skill.

Non-reactivity.

Here's what it actually feels like when you get it.

• Social situations get easier. And for the guys: non-reactivity is magnetic. It reads as dominant, protective, in control. You don't crash out the second the wind changes.

• High-stakes moments stop rattling you. You become the James Bond version of yourself: calm, collected, solving problems no matter what life throws.

• Flow becomes effortless. Like you took a limitless pill.

• You get more done in less time, more output, more money, more freedom.

• And the big one: you make better decisions. Life is the sum of your decisions. Get non-reactive and you go from a twig getting ripped around by the current, to someone who controls the direction of the current itself.

So here's how. Four things. The first one is the foundation, skip it and the rest won't hold.

1. Train metacognition

Athletes train specific muscles for specific movements. If your sport is non-reactivity, you train the muscle of metacognition, thinking about thinking.

Imagine playing Mario on a level you just can't beat. Instead of being locked into the screen, you pull yourself into a third-person view and watch yourself play. You notice where you get frustrated, where you press the wrong buttons, where you make the wrong moves.

That's metacognition. Instead of being the character in the movie of your life, you become the director.

The only real way I've found to train it is metacognition meditation, not the basic breathe-in-breathe-out stuff on most apps. It's about constantly regaining executive control over your mind.

Thoughts will appear no matter what. Normally we react, generate another thought, then another, and 20 minutes later we're deep in an imaginary argument with a coworker. In this practice, the thought appears and you just observe it. It passes like a bird flying by.

Every rep is a rep in the gym that is your mind. And you need the strength, because step two is where the world starts pushing back.

2. Destimulate

You can hit the gym every day, but if you're pounding Doritos and ice cream it won't matter.

Same idea here. To get non-reactive, you have to reduce your stimuli.

You cannot wake up, grab your phone, and start scrolling the news and social media. I don't care how mentally strong you think you are, those things are designed to overpower you. Designed to be addictive.

You don't need to check the political news. You don't need to track the wars every second of every day. You don't need the guru's "crazy new business model" video. And you don't need to check if the girl from your gym posted a bikini pic. Come on.

Here's what's wild: when you cut external inputs, you start creating internal outputs. Better thoughts. Better ideas. Better work.

And you realize a lot of what you used to consume, you didn't even enjoy. You were addicted to the reaction it gave you. Our brains get hooked on emotions, so we do things just for the feeling.

That was me with political content. It didn't help my life, my work, or my relationships, at all. But I was addicted to getting mad, to feeling right, to feeling smart. Honestly the most NPC thing imaginable.

Look, sometimes checking in on the world is fine. Just not on a constant cadence. And if something big enough to affect your life happens, you'll know without refreshing Twitter.

Try this: spend at least an hour a day in an open state of awareness, no stimuli, no information yet, and see what comes out of it. Over time you start to know what to let in. I cut the political stuff. Cooked dinner with no video playing. Drove with no podcast. And when I did want to consume something, I reached for CEO podcasts, people who'd built big ecom brands, because I'm building one too.

But here's the problem with all of this.

3. Get real-life reps

Life is life. Stuff is going to happen externally that you can't control and didn't plan for. It'll catch you by surprise.

Sometimes you'll need to take real action in response. But the goal is to let it affect you internally as little as possible, both triggering your emotions and dragging you out of the present into a spiral.

I call these real-life reps.

In meditation, a thought pops up and you learn to observe it and let it pass. In real life, the things that hit are way more intense than a thought, and you still need to get back to baseline as fast as possible.

That's resilience. When something throws you off course, how fast can you re-enter yourself and operate from that non-reactive, mindful, alpha state?

The good news: the last step is something you can start doing today. And it's the one that'll change your day-to-day the most.

4. Remember your future

Sounds paradoxical. Stay with me.

If you truly want to change, you have to reprogram your subconscious. You do that by creating a new, higher version of yourself: a clear image, a movie of the future life you want, acting the way you truly want to act.

That vision becomes a script, code you feed your subconscious to start rewriting your own code and become that version of you.

Remember: the brain and body can't tell imagination from reality. It's why thinking about an awkward moment from five years ago makes you clam up right now. It's why people say their trauma is the source of all their suffering, but it's not the trauma itself. It's the remembering of it, letting those old emotions into the present.

So flip it. Once you've built a clear vision of your higher self, you can remember the futurejust as vividly as you remember the past.

What happens then? Your brain and body react as if that future already happened. Your subconscious starts to shift. Your body language and posture change. Your autonomic nervous system starts to match this new version of you.

And you start acting like that person.

That's the real unlock: truly shifting your identity and reprogramming your subconscious will bring more change than willpower or discipline ever could.

I’m not here to motivate you. Motivation is a sugar rush — it wears off before lunch. What I want to give you is something harder and more useful: a real look at what the walk actually looks like, and why you can take it anyway.

The Myth of the Perfect Starting Line

A friend of mine spent two years trying to launch a clothing brand. Two years. He redesigned the logo seven times. He waited until he had “enough” saved. He waited until his cousin, who studied business, had time to look at the numbers. He wanted the conditions to be right.

The difference wasn’t talent. It wasn’t connections or luck. The first guy was waiting for permission. The second guy understood something the first one didn’t: the map reveals itself as you walk.

You will never feel ready. The fear will not quietly excuse itself. The conditions will never be perfect.

Nobody Is Coming — And That’s Good News

A few years ago, a young woman reached out to me. She was stuck in a job she hated, living in a city she didn’t choose, surrounded by people who didn’t share her ambitions. She kept saying, “I just need someone to see my potential and give me a chance.”

Here’s what I told her:

nobody is coming. Not a mentor. Not a recruiter. Not a savior with the perfect opportunity wrapped in a bow. Your life is a single-player game. You’re holding the controller, and the only person who can press the buttons is you.

She didn’t like hearing that. Nobody does.

But six months later, she had taught herself Figma (even i cant Figma) from YouTube tutorials, built her portfolio, and landed her first freelance client.

Nobody came. So She went.

This isn’t a harsh truth. It’s a liberating one. When nobody is coming, you stop waiting. You stop performing. You stop hoping to be discovered. You start building. You become the person who handles it — not because you’re special, but because you accepted that the responsibility is yours.

There’s a line I think about often: being broke is not an excuse if you have heart, determination, and the willingness to look stupid in front of people who don’t get it yet. That last part matters. Most people won’t get it. Do it anyway.

The Lonely Season Is Your Training Arc

Some of you are isolated right now, and you think it’s punishment. You lost friends. Relationships fell apart. Your phone is quiet. And you’ve convinced yourself that something is wrong with you.

Consider a different read: maybe God — or the universe, or whatever you answer to — pulled you out of circulation because you needed to heal. You can’t fill other people’s cups when yours is empty. And you can’t hear your own voice when you’re surrounded by noise.

I know a man who went through a divorce and lost his business in the same year. He spent the next eighteen months mostly alone. No dating. No networking events. No posting. He used that time to sit with his trauma, journal, pray, and slowly rebuild his relationship with himself. He told me later, “I thought God abandoned me. Turns out, He put me in isolation because I couldn’t heal in the crowd.”

That season was ugly. He’ll be the first to tell you. But it was necessary.

If you’re in that season right now — the quiet one, the lonely one, the one where it feels like life is happening to you — sit with it. Don’t numb it. Don’t scroll through it. Have an actual conversation with yourself. Ask: what am I supposed to learn here? What part of me needs attention? What have I been running from?

You Already Have Enough

Let me give you a concrete example.

Zaki (this guy) lives in a one-room apartment in Dhaka.

He has a smartphone that cost him 12,000 taka, a data connection, and a brain. That’s it. No laptop. No fancy camera. No degree.

Six months ago, he started making short videos about personal finance on TikTok using just his phone. No editing software — he used CapCut on the same device. His lighting was his window. His microphone was the phone itself.

He has 80,000 followers now. Brands are paying him. He’s not special. He just understood that the barrier to entry isn’t equipment or money — it’s the story you tell yourself about why you can’t start.

You have a smartphone. You have internet access. You’re reading this, which means you have a brain that can process information and act on it. That’s the full toolkit. Everything else — the camera, the website, the course, the certification — is a delay tactic dressed up as preparation.

The guy who taught himself coding from freeCodeCamp and now works remotely? Same toolkit. The woman who started a catering business from her mother’s kitchen using Instagram DMs to take orders? Same toolkit. The teenager in Indonesia who learned English from YouTube videos and now works as a translator? Same toolkit.

If you have a smartphone, internet, and a functioning mind, and you’re still not doing anything, you need to sit down and have a hard conversation with yourself. Not a motivational one. An honest one. What are you actually afraid of?

Ugly Before Beautiful

There’s a quote that gets tossed around a lot: “Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, but learning how to dance in the rain.” It’s cliché. I know it’s cliché. And it’s cliché because it’s true.

Every single thing worth building goes through an ugly phase. The first draft is embarrassing. The first video gets seven views and one of them is your mother. The first business idea might lose money. The first few months of the gym, you won’t see a difference. The first attempt at a difficult conversation will come out wrong.

This is not failure. This is the ugly phase. And the ugly phase is proof that you’re doing the thing instead of just thinking about it.

Here’s a practical way to reframe it:

Life is happening FOR you, not TO you.

That setback? Data.

That rejection? Feedback.

You are a spiritual being learning the human experience. That sounds abstract, but it’s practical. It means your heartbeat is not guaranteed. It means this moment, right now, is the only one you’re sure of. It means waiting for the “right time” is gambling with a currency you can’t earn back.

Don’t take your heartbeat for granted.

Wake up. Do the thing.

Do it alone if nobody believes in it yet.

Do it tired when you’ve already worked a full shift.

Do it scared when your hands are shaking and you have no idea if it’ll work.

That’s the whole game.

That’s the secret nobody wants to hear because it’s too simple to sell.

Just do it. Start before you’re ready.

Make mistakes.

Learn in public. Be an idiot now so you can be a genius later.

The rule was simple: for three months, live with only 33 items of clothing.

At first, it sounded almost ridiculous.

But that was exactly the point.

Why I Tried It

The motivation wasn’t aesthetic. It was behavioral.

• My wardrobe had quietly turned into clutter with no real system.

• I noticed I was making decisions I didn’t need to make every morning.

• I wanted constraints because freedom without structure often becomes noise.

• And honestly, I was curious if less would feel like loss… or clarity.

So I set the timeframe: October 1 to December 31.

And I stuck to it.

Mostly…

A few exceptions slipped in (holiday events have a way of testing philosophy), but the system held. What surprised me wasn’t how hard it was at the start—it was how quickly it stopped feeling like a challenge at all.

It became normal.

Then it became useful.

Then it became uncomfortable to imagine going back.

What Boundaries Actually Do

We usually treat “less choice” as restriction. But real-world experience shows something different: boundaries don’t just limit you, they reveal you.

1. Boundaries reduce decision fatigue

Most people underestimate how much mental energy is wasted on trivial choices.

A large closet doesn’t give freedom. It creates micro-conflicts:
What fits?

What matches?

What feels right today?

With fewer options, the noise disappears. The decision becomes automatic.

And the mind gets to move on to things that actually matter.

There’s a reason high-performing people often wear variations of the same outfit.

It’s not style—it’s cognitive efficiency.

2. Boundaries clarify what actually matters

When everything is available, nothing feels essential.

But when you’re forced into limits, something interesting happens: you start identifying your real preferences.

Not the aspirational ones. The actual ones.

In my case, I found:

• I had 4–5 pieces that did most of the heavy lifting

• A large portion of my wardrobe was “backup identity”

• Style became simpler, not smaller

It stops being about what you own, and starts becoming about what you repeatedly choose.

3. Boundaries unlock creativity

Orson Welles once said,

“The enemy of art is the absence of limitations.”

He wasn’t being poetic. He was describing how creativity works.

When you remove infinite options, you’re forced to design within constraints. And constraints create identity.

Outfits became combinations, not consumption.
Style became expression, not accumulation.

Ironically, having less made my personal style more consistent, not less interesting.

4. Boundaries create freedom (the real kind)

This is where it gets counterintuitive.

You expect restriction. What you get is relief.

• Mornings became faster

• Laundry became predictable

• Mental clutter reduced

• Spending dropped without effort

But the biggest shift was psychological: I stopped negotiating with my closet.

No “maybe I’ll wear this someday.”
No emotional attachment to unused things.
No silent guilt sitting on hangers.

Just clarity.

And clarity feels like freedom once you’ve lived without it.

THE EXPERIMENT WAS NEVER ABOUT CLOTHING!

It was about exposure therapy for consumption.

We accumulate more than we need not because we’re careless, but because the system rewards accumulation. More options, more identity, more noise disguised as lifestyle.

But at some point, ownership stops being helpful and starts becoming maintenance.

And maintenance is just disguised fatigue.

The real insight didn’t stay in the wardrobe.

It expanded.

The principle is simple:

If everything is important, nothing is.

So I started applying light constraints everywhere:
fewer tools, fewer commitments, fewer parallel goals.

Not because minimalism is trendy—but because focus is undefeated.

If You Try It

Don’t treat it like a lifestyle shift.

Treat it like a short experiment.

Three months. Fixed rules. No philosophical pressure.

Just observe what happens when your choices shrink but your awareness expands.

Worst case, you learn nothing and go back.

Best case, you realize how much of your life was running on unnecessary clutter.

And once you see it, it’s hard to unsee.

Clutter doesn’t just live in spaces. It lives in decisions.

And removing it doesn’t make life smaller.

If you’re in genuine analysis paralysis, you probably already sense that more research won’t help. What you need is a way forward. But the right way forward depends on what kind of decision you’re facing, and what’s actually holding you back.

Why Decisions Feel Impossible

Indecision isn’t a failure of intelligence. Often it’s the opposite: you’re stuck because you can see the merits of each option.

Past a certain point, more information won’t help. The psychologist Barry Schwartz calls this the paradox of choice: as options and information multiply, satisfaction decreases and anxiety increases.

If you’ve been researching for weeks and still can’t decide, the problem is rarely insufficient data. More likely, you’re using research as a way to avoid deciding, or the decision involves a conflict that more information can’t resolve.

The Danish philosopher Soren Kierkegaard suggested that the modern person is cursed with too much reflection: the ability to see a situation from so many angles that action becomes impossible. “The most common form of despair,” he wrote, “is not being who you are.” By which he meant: not choosing, not committing, not becoming anything in particular.

But there’s something else happening, too. The psychologists Daniel Kahneman and Amos Tversky discovered what they called prospect theory: we feel losses about twice as intensely as equivalent gains. When you can’t decide, you’re often not weighing options so much as dreading the loss that any choice entails. Every decision forecloses alternatives. To choose this job is to not choose that one. To move here is to not move there.

Some part of you may be hoping that if you wait long enough, a third option will appear that offers everything with no sacrifice. It rarely does. But before you force yourself to choose, it’s worth understanding what kind of stuck you actually are.

First: What Kind of Decision Is This?

Not all decisions deserve the same treatment. Before applying any technique, ask yourself two questions:

Is this reversible or irreversible? Choosing a restaurant, a job, or an apartment—these are largely reversible. If it doesn’t work out, you can change course. Decisions about having children, major surgery, or ending a marriage are not. Reversible decisions warrant less agonizing; irreversible ones may genuinely need more time.

Are you missing information, or are two things you value in conflict? If you’re genuinely lacking key facts—say, you haven’t yet received test results or a job offer’s final terms—waiting may be wise. But if you have the information and you’re still stuck, the problem is likely somewhere else. Often it’s a values conflict: two things you care about are pulling in opposite directions, and no amount of research will resolve that tension.

When Waiting Is Wise

Not all hesitation is avoidance. Sometimes your gut is telling you something you haven’t consciously articulated yet. Sometimes external circumstances genuinely need time to clarify.

Waiting might be appropriate when:

• You’re expecting concrete new information (test results, an offer, someone else’s decision)

• You’ve recently experienced something destabilizing and need time to regain equilibrium

• Your hesitation feels like a signal rather than just noise—something feels wrong, even if you can’t name it yet

The difference between reasonable waiting and avoidance: reasonable waiting has an endpoint and a purpose. If you’re just hoping the decision will somehow make itself, that’s avoidance.

What Actually Helps

Set a deadline, and mean it

Parkinson’s Law says that work expands to fill the time available. The same applies to decisions. If you give yourself unlimited time to decide, you will take unlimited time. Set a date. Write it down. When the date arrives, choose. Not because you’ll have certainty by then, but because more time won’t produce it.

Notice which option you keep hoping will win

Often, you already know what you want. The endless deliberation is a way of not admitting it—maybe because the preferred option is scarier, less sensible, harder to justify to others.

When someone suggests you should pick Option A, do you feel relieved or deflated?

You can also try flipping a coin. Assign heads to one option, tails to the other. In that split second when the coin is in the air, notice what you’re hoping for. The coin isn’t making your decision; it’s revealing a preference you might be suppressing.

Consider the worst case, specifically

For each option, ask: What’s the actual worst that could happen? Be concrete. Write it down.

Often, when you name the fear specifically, it shrinks. Yes, you might take the job and regret it. And then you’d look for another job. You’d survive. Many decisions are more reversible than they feel in the moment.

Stop optimizing; start satisficing

The economist Herbert Simon coined the term “satisficing” to describe a decision-making strategy that accepts a “good enough” option rather than searching endlessly for the best one.

Research consistently shows that “maximizers”—people who must find the optimal choice—report lower well-being than “satisficers,” who settle for good enough. Maximizers spend more time deciding, feel more regret afterward, and are less satisfied even when they objectively chose better options.

Perfectionism about decisions assumes that a perfect choice exists and can be found through enough analysis. It usually can’t. At some point, good enough has to be good enough.

If values are in conflict, clarify them

When you’re torn between two options that represent genuinely different values—adventure vs. stability, career vs. caregiving, loyalty vs. self-preservation—no technique will resolve the tension.

Instead, ask yourself: What matters most to me in this season of life? Not what should matter, not what used to matter, but what actually matters now. Write for ten minutes without editing. Sometimes the answer is clearer than you thought; you’ve just been afraid to admit it.

Go Deeper

Chronic indecision often points to something underneath: a fear of commitment, a distrust of your own judgment, a terror of being responsible for outcomes.

If this resonates, spend some time writing, exploring the fear beneath the paralysis. What are you really afraid of? Being wrong? Being blamed? Missing out? Discovering you don’t know yourself as well as you thought?

Sometimes naming the deeper fear takes away its power to freeze you.

When This Might Be Something More

Sometimes indecision signals something self-help can’t solve:

• If every decision feels paralyzing—what to order, what to watch, which route to take—this may be anxiety, not a decision problem.

• If the indecision comes with depression, hopelessness, or difficulty functioning, the decision isn’t the real issue.

• If you’re paralyzed about leaving a dangerous or abusive situation, you need safety planning, not advice about commitment.

If any of this resonates, consider talking to a therapist. These patterns often respond well to support.

A Final Thought

Inaction can feel safe, like keeping your options open. But time moves in one direction, and while you’re waiting to decide, your life is happening.

For low-stakes, reversible decisions: pick something. Step forward. You can adjust as you go.

For high-stakes decisions involving genuine values conflicts: take the time you need, but don’t mistake endless deliberation for progress. At some point, you have to choose who you’re going to be.

I’m 98kg right now. I’m not hiding that.

And I’ll tell you something — the way I let my health slide directly mirrored how I let other standards slide too. They’re connected. Always.

What you eat. How you move. Whether you sleep or doom-scroll until 3am.

All of it shows up in your work, your mood, your decisions.

Your body isn’t separate from your ambition. It is your ambition — or the lack of it.

4. Hard Work Alone Will Keep You Broke

We come from cultures that worship hard work. Grind. Sacrifice. Hustle.

And it’s not wrong. But it’s incomplete.

“Follow your passion” is advice for people who already have stability.

I’ve seen creators quit stable income to pursue content — and crash within 8 months because rent is real and passion doesn’t pay on a bad month.

Freedom first. Then passion.

Build the financial floor. Remove the desperation. Then chase what you love — because when survival isn’t on the line, creativity actually breathes.

Passion under pressure becomes resentment. Fast.

6. Some People Expire. Let Them.

This used to gut me.

People I grew up with. People I built things with. People I thought would be around forever.

Some of them are still great people. We just grew in different directions. And holding on to that — forcing it, resenting the distance — that’s the real loss.

Your circle should challenge you. Elevate you. Call you out.

If it doesn’t, it’s comfortable. And comfortable is where growth goes to die.

7. Luck Is Just Volume in Disguise

I don’t believe in luck anymore.

I believe in reps. Consistent, boring, unglamorous reps.

The “overnight success” you’re comparing yourself to? They’ve been at it for 7 years. Quietly. Consistently. Long before anyone noticed.

You don’t need a break. You need more attempts.

Keep going. The math works out — but only for people who stay in the game long enough to see it.

The internet didn’t give you a disease.

YOUR BELIEF DID.

The Dark Side Nobody Talks About

Here’s where it gets uncomfortable.

If belief can heal you, it can also hurt you.

Researchers call this the nocebo effect. Same brain. Same mechanism. Opposite direction.

There’s a famous experiment where participants were told a new medication might cause nausea, headaches, and fatigue.

Half of them weren’t even taking the real medication — they were on sugar pills.

They still reported nausea, headaches, and fatigue.

Read that again.

People got sick from a pill that contained nothing. Because they expected to get sick.

And here’s the one closest to home.

In a factory in 1960s America — dozens of workers started falling sick. Dizzy. Vomiting. Nausea. They were convinced a mysterious bug was biting them.

The CDC flew in. Tested everything. Air quality, surfaces, food, water.

Nothing.

No bug. No toxin. No contamination.

One person got “sick.” Started a rumour. The rumour spread. And belief — pure, shared, collective belief — made an entire factory of adults physically ill.

No bug. Just belief.

So here’s the real question: What are you believing?

Right now. About your body. Your health. Your capacity to get better.

Because here’s what I need you to understand:

You are not just describing your reality. You are building it.

Every time you say “I’m always tired” — your brain files that as a standing instruction. Stay tired. This is who we are.

Every time you say “I’ve tried everything, nothing works” — your brain stops looking for solutions. Case closed. File sealed.

You’re not complaining. You’re programming.

And your brain is incredibly obedient. It will work hard to prove you right. Even when proving you right means keeping you sick, tired, and stuck.

What Do You Actually Do With This?

This is not about replacing your doctor with positive affirmations. Please go to the doctor.

This is about understanding that alongside whatever treatment or habit you’re working on — your belief system is either helping or sabotaging you.

Here’s how to stop sabotaging yourself:

1. Stop narrating your worst fears out loud.

Every time you list your symptoms to five different people — you’re not seeking comfort. You’re reinforcing the signal. Vent less. Observe more.

2. Understand what you’re doing and why.

Whether it’s a supplement, a diet, a medication, a workout plan — know the reason behind it. When your brain understands why something works, it gets on board. That alignment alone changes outcomes.

3. Replace the broken record.

Pick the one sentence you repeat most about your health or energy.

“I’m always exhausted.”

“I can never lose weight.”

“I don’t sleep properly.”

Don’t delete it. Replace it. With something directional. Not fake. Just forward-looking.

“I’m working on my energy. I’m figuring this out.”

Say it until it stops feeling like a lie.

4. Control what you feed your brain before bed.

Late-night doom scrolling.

Health anxiety rabbit holes.

Reading everything that could go wrong.

This is nocebo territory.

Your brain is most impressionable before sleep.

What you put in, it processes through the night. Guard that window.

The Takeaway That Actually Matters

The man who died of a diagnosis he didn’t have — his tragedy isn’t that he received bad news.

His tragedy is that he never questioned it.

He accepted the story completely. And his body wrote the ending.

You have stories running about yourself right now. About your body, your energy, your capacity, what’s possible for you.

Some of those stories are true. Some were handed to you by a doctor, a parent, a bad experience, a late-night Google spiral — and you just… kept them.

The placebo effect is proof your brain is already trying to help you. Already running a healing programme in the background. Already on your side.

The question is

3 steps, in order

This is not a hustle plan. This is a sequence.

1. → Position (stop being vague)

You don’t need a “niche.”

You need a clean answer to three questions:

• Who is this for? (one person, not the internet)

• What problem do you solve? (one painful problem)

• What outcome do you deliver? (one clear win)

Example positions (steal the structure):

• “I help new creators turn one skill into a paid offer in 30 days.”

• “I help small business owners make their Instagram look premium so they can charge more.”

• “I help coaches package their knowledge into a simple offer they can sell weekly.”

If your positioning feels boring, good.

2. → Proof (stop waiting to feel ready)

Proof isn’t a certificate.

Proof is visible evidence.

Pick one:

• a simple case study

• a before/after

• a breakdown of how you solved a problem

• a “here’s what I tried, here’s what failed, here’s what worked”

Example proof post:

• Context: “I helped a friend’s business fix their landing page.”

• Problem: “People clicked but didn’t buy.”

• Fix: “We changed 3 things: headline, offer, CTA.”

• Result: “Conversion went from X to Y.”

• Lesson: “Most pages don’t fail because of design. They fail because they’re unclear.”

No follower count needed.

Just evidence.

3. → Path (build an offer that doesn’t feel cringe)

Your offer needs two things:

1. A clear promise

2. A clear next step

When I was stuck between being a creator and doing agency work I didn’t care about, I didn’t write a dream life.

What happens if I keep saying yes to the wrong things.

I did my own version of this when I realized I was grinding hard on the wrong things.

I stopped explaining.

I stopped performing busy.

I just worked.

Quiet.

Consistent.

No announcements.

Here’s the truth: you don’t need external validation to commit to your goals.

The moment you stop looking for approval is the moment your real work starts.

This isn’t about ghosting people.

I spent years making content that didn’t blow up.

But those years taught me how to communicate.

How to structure ideas.

How to build trust.

There’s no shortcut to compounding.

What this looks like:

• Write every day, even if it’s trash.

• Show up on camera before you feel ready.

• Study one person who’s ahead.

Copy their habits, not their highlights.

4. Embrace Trial and Error

Stop waiting to feel ready.

You won’t.

I launched things that flopped.

I made videos nobody watched.

I had offers that didn’t sell.

I write alot. Because My Pad > iPad

Different sizes for different purposes Pocket notebooks for quick ideas Medium ones for meeting notes, also great for bullet journaling Large boards for everything else — brain dump to scribble to sketch to what not

Filled notes are my recent favorites where I am printing photos and writing for my kids.

4. Nokia 1174: The Real Smart Phone

Only quick calls. Battery never dies. Emergency device. Device to be present during dinners. and to top it all — No chance of doomscrolling.

5. iPhone 12 Mini in Dumb Mode

As much I am a big time Apple Fanboy, but I don't buy a new iPhone every year. I use my phone as a controlled device that ties my ecosystem.

Here are few things I do:

• I use the Dumb Phone App

• Keeps my homescreen clean and minimal. Distraction Free.

• Turn off all notifications first, then turn on selective ones

• Screen’s often on grayscale

• No social media apps (except Instagram) on my phone

• Track my mood, log my food, macros, water, and weight. It all syncs with my watch and health app

• My phone is my wallet. i dont carry cash. MFS, online banking, finance tracker. All in one space

• The small size is perfect

• Great for quick replies to mail and checking on notion workspace and stay in touch team on the go.

• Bought it in 2021 and it still works great with 89% battery life (impressive indeed)

Apple's automation is excellent ngl! Quick voice commands and gestures save only seconds, but they make daily living feel seamless.

The more you talk to Siri, the better she understands your patterns.

We get along well—she wakes me up, knows my schedule, nudges only when needed, and keeps my home accessories and security cams in order, shared with family. synced by mood: warm when cozy, vibey during downtime.

7. A Basic Water Bottle

Always around me, throughout the day.

Nothing fancy or Stanley about it. Simple but transformative.

I refill it 4 to 6 times a day = 3.5L = daily goal reached ✔️

8. Apple Watch SE

An old gen Apple Watch SE and the screen is cracked, but I only open it to charge it. It tracks my sleep, steps, heart rate, mood, and other health data my doctor needs. When I visit my doc, I just export the health report and mail her before the visit.

9. AirTags … alot of AirTags

AirTags have eliminated the morning panic of "where did I put my keys?" Each important item has one. I've saved hours of searching and never missed a flight due to misplaced documents.

I recently started using it, and my multitasking workflow is already improving.

Quick decluttering without leaving my workspace.

During intensive work sessions, I can immediately dispose of coffee cups, snack wrappers, or paper scraps without breaking flow.
