Nobody talks about them because they’re not sexy enough for a thumbnail.
But ignore them long enough, and they will quietly destroy your content game, your passion, and your mental health.
The Gurus wont say it
They’re too busy running hour-long webinars with LinkedIn-vibes people, talking about surface-level nonsense that’s worth about 0.2 cents of actual insight.
I’m not here for that.

Lesson 1: Not Every Post Needs to Be a Masterpiece
Most creators die from one disease.
Everything needs to be important.
No.
Sometimes the win is simply: you made something.
Some days your content doesn’t need to “change lives.”
It just needs to keep you alive.
If you’re in Dhaka, India, or anywhere in the diaspora, you know the pressure.
People expect output like a machine.
But here’s the truth.
Creating for joy is still creating.
You don’t always have to “provide value.”
Sometimes the value is that you showed up and made something you enjoyed making.
That’s enough.
Lesson 2: Making Stuff Is Hard. That’s Not a Problem.
Creating is hard.
For everyone.
The YouTuber.
The freelancer.
The parent building a side hustle.
The founder trying to post while running an entire business.
Hard doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong.
Hard means you’re doing it for real.
And here’s the thing most people forget.
The act of making is the achievement.
The response?
That’s a bonus.
Some projects will resonate.
Others won’t.
That’s fine.
If you’re out here making stuff, you’re already winning.
I mean that.
Lesson 3: Make What You Want to Exist
Not everyone will like your work.
If everyone likes it, it’s probably bland.
There will always be a crowd that doesn’t get you.
And there will always be a smaller crowd that needs you.
So make the thing you wish existed.
The vlog.
The deep dive.
The story.
The weird format only you can pull off.
Your people find you when you stop trying to be for everyone.
Don’t let the fear of rejection stop you from creating.
Because the right audience isn’t looking for safe.
They’re looking for real.
Lesson 4: Stop Chasing Viral.
Start Communicating a Feeling.
Most creators keep asking the wrong question.
“What value am I giving?”
Here’s the better one.
How do I want them to feel?
Calm.
Seen.
Called out.
Hopeful.
Uncomfortable in the right way.
Emotion travels further than information.
Every single time.
Especially when you’re building across cultures and languages.
Emotion transcends all of that.
Make people feel something, and you’ve already won half the game.
The data, the tips, the frameworks — people forget those.
But they never forget how you made them feel.
Lesson 5: Make Stuff With Your Friends — Before Life Separates You
Creating is brutal alone.
So don’t do it alone.
Make things with friends.
Shoot together.
Brainstorm together.
Build together.
The laughs aren’t “extra.”
They’re fuel.
Your friends care about you, your success, and your projects.
Growing with your fellow creators is priceless.
And community is one of the only things that keeps you sane when the numbers mess with your head.
Whether you’re in Dhaka or the diaspora — don’t go at this alone.
Lesson 6: Your Style Isn’t Supposed to Look Like Everyone Else’s
If your content looks like everyone else’s, you disappear.
Simple.
Your culture.
Your rhythm.
Your scars.
Your humor.
Your taste.
That’s not baggage.
That’s the advantage.
The world does not need another copycat creator.
It needs your version of it.
Lean into the thing that makes you different.
Because that thing you’re trying to hide?
That’s probably the thing that makes people stay.
Lesson 7: It’s Normal to Want to Quit
Let’s normalize the part nobody posts about.
Sometimes you want to quit.
Not because you’re weak.
Because you’re tired.
Because you’re human
Because you’ve been pushing without a system, without a plan, without anyone telling you it’s okay to breathe.
That season passes.
Step back.
Touch grass.
Live your life.
Then come back clean.
Every time I wanted to quit, I came back sharper.

Even when it feels messy.
