The Only 7 Essential Perspective for Personal and Professional Success
I learnt it the hard way so zero complains. Here are the 7 perspective shifts from years of building. Lessons that reshaped how I think about work, money, and life.
Let me be real with you.
I spent years chasing the wrong things. Wrong goals. Wrong people. Wrong definition of success.
And I’m not talking theoretical. I’m talking wasting actual years of my life optimizing for stuff that didn’t matter.
So here’s what I wish someone sat me down and said. No fluff. No LinkedIn motivation. Just real talk.
1. Stop Trying to Be Happy
Happiness is a trap. Focus on Purpose
The moment you make it your goal, it disappears. Ask anyone who got the job, the money, the relationship — and still felt empty at 2am.
Happiness isn’t the destination. It’s the exhaust fume.
You do the hard thing. You build the skill. You show up when you don’t want to. Then happiness shows up — uninvited, unannounced, and very, very real.
Stop chasing it. Start building something worth having.
2. Money Isn’t Evil. Poverty of Choice Is.
We grew up hearing “টাকা সব না।”
And sure. Money isn’t everything.
But you know what’s worse than not having money? Staying in a job you hate because you have no other option. Saying yes to things that drain you because you can’t afford to say no.
Money buys choices. That’s it. That’s the whole point.
Stop feeling guilty for wanting financial freedom. It’s not greed. It’s survival with dignity.
3. Your Body Is Your Report Card
I’m 98kg right now. I’m not hiding that.
And I’ll tell you something — the way I let my health slide directly mirrored how I let other standards slide too. They’re connected. Always.
What you eat. How you move. Whether you sleep or doom-scroll until 3am.
All of it shows up in your work, your mood, your decisions.
Your body isn’t separate from your ambition. It is your ambition — or the lack of it.
4. Hard Work Alone Will Keep You Broke
This one stings. Especially for us.
We come from cultures that worship hard work. Grind. Sacrifice. Hustle.
And it’s not wrong. But it’s incomplete.
Your rickshaw driver works harder than most CEOs.
That’s not a shot — that’s a systemic reality.
Hard work without leverage just means you burn out and stay stuck.
You need to build things that work when you’re not working. Scalable. Repeatable. High margin.
Otherwise you’re not building a business.
You’re building a prison with better aesthetics.
5. Don’t Chase Passion Before You’ve Earned the Right To
“Follow your passion” is advice for people who already have stability.
I’ve seen creators quit stable income to pursue content — and crash within 8 months because rent is real and passion doesn’t pay on a bad month.
Freedom first. Then passion.
Build the financial floor. Remove the desperation. Then chase what you love — because when survival isn’t on the line, creativity actually breathes.
Passion under pressure becomes resentment. Fast.
6. Some People Expire. Let Them.
This used to gut me.
People I grew up with. People I built things with. People I thought would be around forever.
Some of them are still great people. We just grew in different directions. And holding on to that — forcing it, resenting the distance — that’s the real loss.
Your circle should challenge you. Elevate you. Call you out.
If it doesn’t, it’s comfortable. And comfortable is where growth goes to die.
7. Luck Is Just Volume in Disguise
I don’t believe in luck anymore.
I believe in reps. Consistent, boring, unglamorous reps.
The “overnight success” you’re comparing yourself to? They’ve been at it for 7 years. Quietly. Consistently. Long before anyone noticed.
You don’t need a break. You need more attempts.
Keep going. The math works out — but only for people who stay in the game long enough to see it.
So What Now?
Pick one of these seven. Just one.
The one that made you uncomfortable. The one you scrolled past a little too fast.
That’s your next move.
Not all seven. Not a whole system overhaul. One thing. This week.
That’s how it actually works.
For the ones building something real.
